I recommend you a book: Reading Lolita in Teheran. You should have read Lolita first for more understanding. Is a very interesting book.
    Hope you enjoy it.

Again, thank you for sharing YOU with all of us. You are truly inspirational and I belive that I too can live my life in a way that most aligns with my true self. I’m not there yet but I’m doing what I need to do now to make it happen. Reading your posts definitely is a great boost :)

Congratulations on your course. Looking forward to hearing how it works out.

    Hey Tina,
If you liked Khalid Hosseini’s Thousand Splendid Suns, you will also definitely like his first book The Kite Runner. Moves one to tears.

    Tina -

That’s a great book-list..thanks for sharing. I will probably download a few on my kindle.

I highly recommend “The Lazy Person’s Guide To Success” by Ernie Zelinksi, and “The Joy of Not Working” also by Zelinksi. These books literally changed my life and I still refer to them when my world gets way out of my control.

I recommend you to read Krishnamurti’ talks. Please try to search on google to know about him first.

  11. 11

When you get a chance, check out “Return To Love” by Marianne Williamson – very good read.

Hi Tina, I’d recommend “The Alchemist” by Paulo Coelho for fiction reading.

  13. 13

Autobiography of a Yogi , by Paramahansa Yogananda

  14. 14

“The Artist’s Way” had a tremendous influence on me.

I didn’t realize “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time” was in a similar category as the others you listed. It’s been sitting on my bookshelf for a while, and while I cracked it open once, I only read a few pages, putting it down for something else. I always planned to come back to it, but given you listed it, I think I’ll do that soon.

  15. 15

    “Desert Flower” by Waris Dirie

  16. Monica Van Den Heuvel

    16

Broken Open (How Difficult Times Can Help Us Grow) by Elizabeth Lesser

    She’s a beautiful writer; I quote her often. :)

  17. 17

I’m recommending “Man’s search for meaning” by Victor Frankl.

  18. 18

I would recommend A Million Miles in a Thousand Years by Donald Miller. This was an extraordinary book that helped me understand how to live a life of meaning.

Thank you Tina for the wonderfully written articles, I have gained so much inner sight via reading from you.

I would warmly recommend Garth Stein’s The Art of Racing in the Rain…simply brilliant and freshly different! Also Khaled Hosseini’s The Kite Runner touched my heart.

Just finished reading don Miguel Ruiz’s The Voice of Knowledge – A Practical Guide to Inner Peace.

I highly recommend this book for anyone wanting to find peace within and really find their true calling in this life. The book has left me with no words to describe, you have to read it for yourself to understand how overwhelming one book can be.

All the best for all of you finding your beautiful path on this planet!

    Hi Tina
I as you like peacefulness or happy moments in my life.
I read Eckhart Tolle’s 2 books that you had.I went on and listened to Tony Parsons,Jeff Foster, Gangaji,Byron Katie ,doctor Jill Bollte Taylor. They pretty much say the same things. So you can take a look if you want.
But I read something that kind of made my happiness or peacefulness continue all day or days in a row.Of course sad feelings may come ,but they don’t bother me anymore as I see them come and go.
So I would recommend you: The joy of living written by Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche and eric swanson.
It is a good book.I liked it.

  22. 22

Eat, Pray, Love: One Woman’s Search for Everything Across Italy, India and Indonesia – Elizabeth Gilbert

This book is not fiction, it’s a true story.

  23. 23

Aah, great list, great books mentioned in there. Read few of them, truly inspirational, something that boosts up your soul.

But I would like to add some happiness, some love, some compassion by Dalai Lama’s “The Art Of Happiness : A Handbook For Living” is one powerful wisdom to have by your side. The compassionate showers this book offers, are worth the weight in golds.

Thanks for sharing your reading list. :)
