Recently I wrote How to write an effective article

Grab yourself 2 random words using it and then write in introductory paragraph using both words as inspiration. Repeat this a few times and you’ll find that some interesting ideas will start flowing. Give it a try, it’s fun.

Because the random words will have nothing to do with your topic you are forced to be creative and this will help you create some fresh ideas.

Less Is More boosts creativity. Focus on the essential element, ignore the rest. Write better stuff and faster.

By having less elements, it’s easier to create since you only have to think about one or two things. There’s less chance to get overwhelmed, stuck, and/or daunted. It also forces you to make your stuff as strong as possible, since there’s no crutches (ie. details and fluff).

This way, you make the best possible stuff: the strongest story, filled with maximum impact, possessing the clearest argument. The main element is what people like anyway – Mark Twain is loved for his stories and characters, not descriptions of trees.
