    Hi Tina,

Wow! So, there are other people in this world that are like me. I truly enjoyed and connected with your recording. You did a great job and I’m proud of you. I’ve just recently joined your group on FB and today signed up for your newsletter. I’m grateful that a friend accidently forwarded your info to me!

I’ve always had a hard time focusing and finishing projects. I can go right to the finish line and get distracted and start something new. Or… I move on when it gets harder. I’ve always been told how smart & talented I am, but feel that I’m not because of all my unfinished ventures throughout my adult life so far.

Lately, I have been working on self improvement and it’s going great! I’ve been following through and taking steps daily in the proper directions. I am keeping my feet pointed toward one goal at a time. Your article on focus has really been helping me throughout this week. Thank you for your focus and your talent. You are an inspiration and I look forward to future post and recordings:)

Your focus recording was exactly what I needed to hear today. I have recently been finishing up the details of a rather sudden and unexpected divorce and also dealing with the loss of my mother also unexpectedly. Trying to decide if I should sell my house or remodel, what to do with some inheritance and raising my 16 year old daughter. All these issues have made it almost impossible to focus on one thing. They all need attention and cannot be put off for the other. I finally realize that I must chunk up these duties into smaller “projects” in order for me to get moving on them. Otherwise, it is too over whelming and nothing gets done. Thanks for re-enforcing that we have to make that new committment everyday. Off to Cleveland!

As for the mataphore of walking to Cleveland, thank you for sharing. It is very clear and motivating. I’ll make sure to get Seth’s book.

Good ideas Tina, having multiple projects at once is a common issue in the workplace. We used to say “If everything is a priority, then nothing is.” Approaches vary on your theme, with prioritizing being the first, then setting deadlines helps immensely, and consistently reevaluating your plan and modifying as necessary due to unforeseen obstacles. Communicating progress regularly was a requirement, as it also helped to stay focused and on task. There was also the expectation that all had to be completed eventually, so being honest about delays was well received, with other potential solutions entering the picture, bottom line was to be organized and focused as your message says.

Wow, having just completed writing and publishing my first ebook I couldn’t help but relate to all your self doubts. I knew nothing about the process, worried if I had adequate writing skills, but I wanted to tell the story I wrote about so much that it literally consumed my time. I dove into learning what had to be done, made a ton of mistakes, got over the frustrations and after all the hours of writing, learning, and re-editing I could say I did it. The process was the most fun to be totally honest, kudos to you for taking on something that is indeed daunting to many of us! Your passion to do this will see you through and I’m confident you will be proud of the final product.
